OUR MISSION

Revised OGC Mission Statement (27.02.26)

Our Grandchildren’s Climate (www.ourgrandchildrensclimate.org) is an organisation of Seniors (not only grandparents) who are working to bring about change and to insure that the world where future generations will grow up will be safe, healthy and just.

Our Aims

1. To grow awareness among seniors of the environment and climate emergency;

2. To engage with children and young people’s groups to help with understanding of the climate emergency, and offer support and ideas about adaptation, and to aim to lower anxiety;

3. To liaise with other groups with similar aims in the UK, and abroad - whilst remaining politically independent;

How

1. Campaigning: Using our position as elders to support peaceful protest, lobby politicians and business leaders at all levels, and people in our own generation, writing articles, comments and letters to newspapers, and engaging on social media;

2. Workingwith parents, children, schools and other youth groups;

3. Engagingwith other UKgroups,andencouraging local groups to take action on climate friendly measures.
