Standing together on climate change: It's what we do

The "alternative COP30" in Colombia (First Conference on Transitioning away from fossil fuels) (24-29 April) has now finished, and our rep in Santa Marta, (John Stephenson) met with a number of delegates. He has reported back to us from the Conference which was pushing for a better solution for moving away from fossil fuels than those (not) provided at the annual COP meetings. We have already formed a "post-Santa-Marta" group, in preparation for next year's conference (hosted by Tuvalu and Ireland), and aim to ensure that the Grandparents-grandchildren angle is adequately represented.

Our Pensions and Finance working group meets every month. Some of us were present at Barclays* and HSBC Banks' AGMs with questions about their climate-destroying investments in early May.
