INTERNATIONAL EVENTS:

COP 30 and a half: Colombia and the Netherlands will co-host the First International Conference for the phase-Out of Fossil Fuels in Santa Marta, Colombia, on 24th - 29th April 2026. International Conference of European Grandparents for Climate will be taking place in The Hague 25th to 28th September. As members of EGC (www.grandparentsforclimate.eu) we're hoping to go.

AGM Season is NOW

Our newly-formed Pension and Finances Working Group group are considering how they can use the upcoming AGM season to continue to hold financial institutions to account for their failure to ensure that the financial investment they provide promotes the health of the planet rather than aiding its destruction.

We are planning to have a presence at the Barclays AGM on 7th May 2026 11 am at the QE2 Centre London SW1 3EE. We will have our banners and leaflets outside (rendez-vous by 10.30 please), with some of us intending to join the meeting to table a question for the Board of directors. See you there?
