OGC joins European Grandparents for Climate

OGC works with all generations, including younger people and children,
many of them already active in working for a more sustainable world.

This month's theme is the role of legal action as a means of bringing about change.


We were inspired by Isabelle Jörg (of Swiss Elder Women fame) at our meeting on 3rd December around taking legal action against the authorities for not taking adequate measures to combat climate change. The Good Law Project is working on a legal challenge to the UK Government, which we are supporting. Read about it here. They need your donations!

The Solicitors firm Leigh Day are also constantly active in challenging for human rights (including climate change). Read about it here.

The Environmental Law charity Client Earth said "Our delegation is at COP30 - the first since the International Court of Justice confirmed governments and corporations must protect people and the planet from climate harm". They were active in Brazil during the COP30 Climate summit.
